Same task, three directions

Pick a direction to start from.

01

Formal laurel

Ivory paper, a deep green laurel ornament and serif type. The traditional look for boards, societies and awards evenings.

02

Contemporary achievement

A modern layout with a strong heading and a single accent stripe, for organizations that want recognition to feel current.

03

Heritage navy and gold

A deep navy frame with gold line work for recognition presented at a ceremony or displayed in a frame.

What the template keeps

The parts that stay consistent.

01

Recognition wording

The body reads "in recognition of" your achievement text, keeping a formal, accomplishment-focused tone.

02

Formal name integrity

Honorifics, initials, diacritics and post-nominal letters are kept in the order you typed them.

03

Ornament without claims

Laurels and borders stay decorative, with no seals, ribbons or badges that suggest an official awarding body.

How to use it

From details to a result.

  1. 01

    Type the formal name carefully

Include honorifics, initials and letters after the name exactly as the recipient uses them. This line is reproduced character for character.

  2. 02

State the achievement, not just thanks

Say what was accomplished in one sentence. That is what separates recognition from a general appreciation certificate.

  3. 03

Add the organization, date and heading

Keep the default heading or type your own, such as "Certificate of Achievement". Pick landscape or portrait.

  4. 04

Review, send and verify the name

The brief opens in Vizify first. After generating, read the name letter by letter and ask for corrections if needed.

Output boundaries

What to check before you use it.

  • Names with many initials, periods and post-nominal letters are where AI text errors appear most. Verify the name letter by letter.
  • The certificate is one generated image, not an editable Word, PDF or design file, and it carries no signature.
  • It is not an official award from any external body, and the template will not add seals or accreditation to make it look like one.
  • Aspect ratios are directions only; the image has no exact print size or bleed.
  • Text is limited to what fits legibly. A very long achievement may need shortening after the first draft.
Questions
What is the difference between a certificate of recognition and a certificate of appreciation?

Recognition marks a specific accomplishment, such as finishing a project or reaching a milestone. Appreciation thanks someone for their help. This template uses "in recognition of" wording; for a thank-you, use the appreciation template instead.

Is this a free certificate of recognition template?

Filling in the form and preparing the brief is free. Generating the certificate needs a Vizify sign-in and uses your account's current access and credit rules.

Can I change the heading to Certificate of Achievement or Award of Excellence?

Yes. Type the heading you want in the optional heading field. It replaces "Certificate of Recognition" and is rendered as written, so check the spelling.

Can I make certificates of recognition for several people at once?

Each request produces one certificate. For a group, run the template once per person with the same heading and direction so the set matches, and proofread each one.

Will the template add a gold seal?

It can add a decorative laurel or border, but not a seal that looks like it came from an official body. If your organization has its own emblem, you can describe its colors in Additional direction.
