Zodiac animal you choose (optional)

A long bilingual greeting, a year with the animal left empty and a business sign-off. Checks that no zodiac animal is inferred from the year, the four characters stay correct and the English stays readable.

Same task, three directions

Pick a direction to start from.

01

Paper-cut red and gold

Layered red paper-cut shapes and gold lettering, the classic New Year look for relatives and friends.

02

Modern minimal lantern

A cream background, one red lantern and clean type, for colleagues and clients.

03

Ink wash and plum blossom

Soft brush-ink branches and pink blossom for an elegant, quieter card.

What the template keeps

The parts that stay consistent.

01

Your year, your animal

The year and zodiac animal appear only as you entered them.

02

No extra characters

No decorative phrases, fu characters or seals are added beyond your text.

03

Festive contrast

Gold on red or red on cream keeps the greeting readable.

How to use it

From details to a result.

  1. 01

    Write the greeting

English, Chinese or both. Short Chinese phrases are safest; everything is shown exactly as typed.

  2. 02

Choose the year and animal yourself

Both are optional. The template never works out the animal from the year.

  3. 03

    Add who it is from

A family or business name for the bottom of the card.

  4. 04

Review, generate and have the characters checked

Review in Vizify first. After generating, ask someone who reads Chinese to check the characters.

Output boundaries

What to check before you use it.

  • Chinese characters are often rendered incorrectly by image models. Keep them short and have a reader check them.
  • The template does not check whether the animal matches the year. Confirm it yourself before generating.
  • English text, names and years can contain mistakes too. Check everything before sharing.
  • This is a digital card, not a print-ready card with bleed or an inside page.
Questions
Will it pick the right zodiac animal for the year?

It does not pick one. Type the animal you want shown, or leave it empty for none. Check the animal for your year first; some traditions call the same sign a goat, sheep or ram.

Can the card include Chinese characters?

Yes, but keep them short, such as a four-character greeting. Image models make more mistakes with Chinese characters, so have someone who reads them check the result before you share it.

Is a Chinese New Year card different from a Lunar New Year card?

They celebrate the same festival. Use whichever name your recipients use in the greeting. The motifs here lean Chinese; for other traditions, describe the imagery you want in the additional direction.

Can I make a Chinese New Year greeting card for my clients?

Yes. Sign it with your business name and choose the modern lantern or ink wash direction for a more formal feel. The template adds no offers or red-envelope promotions.

Can I print it?

It is made for sharing on screens. You can print the image yourself, but it is not a print-ready card, so print a test copy and check the characters first.
