A calm, low-distraction virtual background for video calls in the color you choose, from soft blue to warm orange, with a gentle gradient and brightness you control.
One generated wide background image in a single color with an optional soft gradient and subtle texture, with no objects or text. Your meeting app decides how it is cropped and whether your self-view is mirrored, so test it in a call before relying on it.

Only the color is given, and it is an extreme one. Checks that the result stays flat and even behind the speaker, with no banding, objects or text, and that the reply notes that very bright backgrounds can darken faces.
Same task, three directions
Pick a direction to start from.
01
Soft blue gradient
A calm mid blue that lightens slightly behind you. The most neutral choice for work calls.
02
Warm muted orange
A friendly, warm tone for coaching, teaching or creative calls, toned down so it does not glare.
03
Studio grey vignette
A neutral grey with a subtle darker edge, like a photo studio backdrop, for interviews and presentations.
What the template keeps
The parts that stay consistent.
01
Nothing behind your head
The center stays the calmest, most even part of the image, so your outline stays clean.
02
Truly plain
No objects, shapes, logos or text are added, even if the frame looks empty.
03
Smooth tone
Gradients stay gradual and slightly textured to avoid visible stripes.
How to use it
From details to a result.
01
Pick your color
Name it the way you would describe it, like "muted navy", or give a hex value. Blue and orange both work well.
02
Set gradient, brightness and texture
All optional. Medium tones usually suit faces best, and a soft gradient adds depth without distraction.
03
Review and send
The brief opens in Vizify for review. Nothing is generated until you send it.
04
Test it in a call before an important meeting
Upload it as your virtual background, check how your meeting app crops it, and adjust the color if your hair or clothes blend in.
Output boundaries
What to check before you use it.
Meeting apps crop and scale backgrounds differently, and many mirror your self-view. Check the result in your own app and in a test call.
How cleanly you are cut out depends on your meeting app, camera and lighting, not on the background image.
Colors close to your hair, skin or clothing can blend at the edges. Choose a contrasting color if that happens.
The image is a wide aspect-ratio direction, not a guaranteed pixel size. Your app may resample it.
QuestionsWhat is the best plain background for Zoom calls?+
A medium or medium-dark, slightly desaturated color with a soft gradient usually looks most natural. It lets your face stand out without glare. Very bright or pure white backgrounds can make your face look darker.
Can I get a blue Zoom background and an orange one?+
Yes. Make one request per color, such as a soft blue for everyday meetings and a warm orange for workshops. Use the Soft blue gradient or Warm muted orange direction for a starting point.
Why does my background look cropped or flipped in the meeting?+
Your meeting app scales and crops the image to your video frame, and many apps mirror your own preview while others see it the right way round. A plain background hides most of this, which is one reason it works well.
Why do my edges look fuzzy against the background?+
Background replacement is done by your meeting app. Better lighting on your face and a background color that contrasts with your hair and clothes help more than changing the image.
Can I add my company name to it?+
This template creates a plain background without lettering. For a branded image, start a separate request in Vizify with the exact company name and preferred placement. Check the lettering before using it in a call.
