Kimi K2.5 · Kimi K2.6 · Kimi K2.7 Code · Kimi K3 · Kimi K3 Fast
Use Moonshot Kimi across two generations, with the differences kept explicit.
Vizify currently lists five Kimi chat variants from Moonshot: K2.5, K2.6, and K2.7 Code from the K2 generation, plus K3 and K3 Fast from the newer K3 generation. Start with K2.5 in the Basic catalog, or move to a Paid-tier variant. Reasoning control and image input differ by model, and this page keeps that explicit.

Where this family fits.
Starting on Kimi K2.5 from the Basic catalog for general text and image-aware chat
Turning reasoning on or off on K2.5 or K2.6 when a simple toggle is enough
Using Kimi K2.7 Code for text-only requests once Paid-model access is enabled
Accepting a fixed, model-managed reasoning behavior on K3 or K3 Fast
Requests that combine text with an uploaded image on K2.5, K2.6, K3, or K3 Fast
What not to assume.
K2.6, K2.7 Code, K3, and K3 Fast all require Paid-model access; only K2.5 is Basic-tier
K2.7 Code does not accept image input; it is text-only in the current Vizify app profile
K3 and K3 Fast use a fixed reasoning behavior with no selectable on/off or effort preset
K2.5 and K2.6 expose only an on/off reasoning toggle, not a graded effort scale
Vizify sends each request to one selected Kimi variant rather than running several at once
Two generations under one family
Vizify currently exposes five Kimi chat variants from Moonshot, spanning two generations. The K2 generation includes K2.5, K2.6, and K2.7 Code. The newer K3 generation includes K3 and K3 Fast. K2.5 is the only Basic-tier variant in the family; K2.6, K2.7 Code, K3, and K3 Fast are all in the Paid catalog.
Image input on four of five variants
Kimi K2.5, K2.6, K3, and K3 Fast are all included in the Vizify vision list, so the customer App can pass a supported image upload along with the request after it validates file and account requirements. Kimi K2.7 Code is the one exception: it is text-only in the current app profile and is not marked for image input. If a coding-oriented request needs image input, choose a different Kimi variant or a different model family.
Reasoning control changes with the generation
The two Kimi generations handle reasoning differently. K2.5 and K2.6 expose a single on/off toggle: reasoning is either applied or it is not, with no graded effort scale in between. K3 and K3 Fast move to a fixed, model-managed reasoning behavior with no selectable preset at all — there is no toggle and no effort control exposed for either variant. K2.7 Code, despite belonging to the K2 generation by name, also uses the fixed reasoning behavior rather than the K2.5/K2.6 toggle. Check the model picker in Vizify for the control that applies to the variant you choose.
Capability review
Availability, tier, image-input support, and reasoning control were checked against the Vizify repository and app profile on 2026-08-16. Search demand for these specific models has not been validated: the most recent keyword research package predates them, so this page is published on capability evidence alone and does not imply demand-backed priority. Provider benchmarks, external release status, pricing, and performance rankings are outside this page’s factual contract.
Questions about Moonshot Kimi models in Vizify.
Which Moonshot Kimi variants are available in Vizify?
The current Vizify catalog includes five Kimi chat variants from Moonshot: K2.5, K2.6, and K2.7 Code from the K2 generation, plus K3 and K3 Fast from the K3 generation. K2.5 is listed in the Basic tier; the other four are listed in the Paid tier.
Which Kimi model does this page open?
The primary action opens Vizify with Kimi K2.5 as a one-time launch selection. The App validates that model against its live catalog before use.
Is Kimi K2.5 the default model in Vizify?
No. The account-wide default chat model in the current app profile is GPT-5.4 Mini. Selecting Kimi K2.5 from this page is an explicit one-time launch hint, not a change to your account default.
Can Kimi K2.7 Code analyze an uploaded image in Vizify?
No. Kimi K2.7 Code is text-only in the current Vizify app profile; it is not marked for image input. Kimi K2.5, K2.6, K3, and K3 Fast are all marked for text and image input.
How does reasoning control differ between Kimi generations?
Kimi K2.5 and K2.6, from the K2 generation, expose a single on/off reasoning toggle. Kimi K3 and K3 Fast, from the newer K3 generation, use a fixed, model-managed reasoning behavior with no selectable on/off or effort preset. Kimi K2.7 Code also uses a fixed reasoning behavior rather than the K2-generation toggle.
Do all Kimi variants require Paid-model access?
No. Kimi K2.5 is in Vizify's Basic tier and does not require Paid-model access. Kimi K2.6, K2.7 Code, K3, and K3 Fast are all in the Paid tier, so the App checks current Paid-model entitlement before sending a request to any of those four.
What is different about Kimi K2.7 Code compared to the other Kimi variants?
Kimi K2.7 Code is the only Kimi variant that is text-only in the current Vizify app profile; it does not accept image input. It also uses the fixed reasoning behavior shared with the K3 generation rather than the on/off toggle used by K2.5 and K2.6.
Does Vizify run multiple Kimi variants on the same request?
No. Vizify selects one model for each request. You can switch Kimi variants between requests, but this page does not promise parallel answers or automatic comparison.
